Daycare centers and home daycare providers understand if a child has the regular run of the mill cough and cold,but if your child has any of the following symptoms please don't send them to daycare until you have called your doctor or checked with your daycare provider.Some infections might require a note from your doctor.
- Diarrhea
- Vomiting
- Fever 100.5 and up
- Pinkeye
- Difficulty breathing
- Rash and fever with pain and itching
- Tummy ache with fever
- lice
If your child is sent to daycare with a cold, please dress them comfortably and bring a favorite item of comfort such as a blanket or stuffed animal.A box of tissue is always appreciated.
