TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - Fears of a child having the H1N1 virus caused one daycare to take serious action.
The Imagination Station in Terre Haute shut down for a few days after it was thought one of their kids had the disease.
While it turned out only to be the flu, the daycare did everything in its power to sanitize the area.
"We called our parents, had them come get the kids. We took 48 hours. That way we could sanitize and everything like that," Leah Walton of the daycare said.
One of the major weapons they used to help disinfect was a very watered down version of bleach, and lots of it. Everything from the walls to the the toys were thoroughly disinfected.
Using bleach is something all daycares are supposed to do daily, but Imagination Station took it a step further.
Everything that could be washed in a washing machine was put in.
Parents appreciate the effort the most.
Everyone hopes the efforts will keep the daycare disease free.
