With over 30 years of experience, Kidango, a private, not-for-profit child development agency is a Northern California Bay Area leader in early education and support services for children and families.
Providing quality care and education in 9 Bay Area cities to over 2,500 children daily, makes us one of the largest child development agencies serving Alameda and Santa Clara Counties.
Since inception in 1979, Kidango has been firmly committed to the success and well being of each child and the family as a whole. In addition to center-based infant, toddler, preschool and school age programs, Kidango also offers Family Child Care Home Education, Early Intervention Services to children with special needs, Mental Health Services, Head Start programs and Family Support Services to meet the diverse needs of the communities we serve.
Our programs are recognized and acclaimed by the California Department of Education, Children Now and the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). We are extremely proud that 33% of all Kidango centers are NAEYC accredited, which is a nationally recognized measure of quality for early childhood programs. Less than 4% of centers in California have achieved this honor.
We are proud of our long history, our strong commitment to the communities we serve and our quality educational programs and support services. We have prepared thousands of children throughout the years for academic success, personal growth and strong social relationships, while providing families with the support and resources they needed to also become successful and productive citizens in our communities.

My daughter was in Ms.
My daughter was in Ms. Kavita's classroom - Kavita and Fauzia are really good. So is their helper, Ms. Chi. She learnt a lot and it is a loving yet disciplined environment.
However, the next class she graduated to, Ms. Shilpa's class is not that good. The teachers just seem to stand around like "Security guards' and do not engage the kids....there is also no focus on preparation for Kindergarten - just learn by play. However, for kids who are about to go to kindergarten, I think a little more focus on academics is essential so they can keep up in school.
Overall, I would recommend for kids underl 4 years. The Center Director, Mitchell Ha is excellent with parents...the fees are pretty reasonable too and include daily lunch and 2 snacks.
