SPOKANE - One local stay-at-home mom is offering to watch kids in exchange for diapers, one of many moms on Craigslist offering to watch a few extra kids to bring in some additional income.
Less than two years ago Debi Jacobson was laid off from her job, and unemployment wasn't paying the bills.
"I absolutely had to bring in additional income but there isn't much out there," she said.
Around the time Debi got pregnant with her second child, six-month-old Hannah, she decided to offer her babysitting services on Craigslist.
"I just hated the idea of having to pay for childcare and still spending lots of money and barely making it work and I thought if I am going to do that I will stay home and find a way," she said.
